Transformation Stories at BetterPlace!

Start your journey
It became easier to stay on track with treatment plan

“The hardest part about getting treatment for mental health is that even when things start to get better, they don’t necessarily get easier. I find it difficult just to come for appointments. What I really appreciate is how understanding the team has always been about my struggle with these simple things. Knowing I can count on them has been a true blessing”

Dilip S.
I finally got a clear understanding of what is wrong

“Three other doctors had diagnosed me with ADHD in few minutes, which I always felt is very random. But Dr. Akul at BetterPlace suggested I get an assessment done first before sharing a diagnosis which made me feel more comfortable. I’m really happy doctor spent so much time with me, he is so senior and still. Test results also he explained so well”

Sunita P.
I never felt judged by anyone at BetterPlace

“I had put on a lot of weight. Some people said maybe it’s an eating disorder but I was too ashamed to visit a doctor because judgment is always there. But a friend told me how non-judgmental BetterPlace is, and that is really true. Doctors are very good and even if i make a mistake they don’t say anything demotivating. Treatment is going amazing and i’m more relaxed”

Karan R.
I can actually see my daughter getting better

“I’m a data analyst who believes in hard data. My daughter was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 13. We tried many doctors but she never clicked with any of them. She’s 20 now and I think we’ve finally found the right doctor. She seems comfortable. I am also much happier because I get regular reports and I can see how progress is happening and how my daughter is improving”

Mohammed K.
It is not my fault and now I understand that

“When I told my friends I have anxiety they would always say, Arrey just relax, it’s not a big deal etc. Social anxiety people say is not a real problem. I also started thinking that and blaming myself. But at BetterPlace, doctor first explained why it happens. In my brain, in my heart, i got it and i could see, Oh, this is not my fault. I even went out for dinner after a long time. I felt nice”

Mary K.
Not just my dad, the patient, but we are all feeling better

“Because of dad’s schizophrenia, our family was always treated differently. People in public would stare at us if dad was acting out. Even our own relatives would avoid us. But thanks to the family therapy and support at BetterPlace, my mother, sister and I have found some peace as well. Even dad’s treatment is better. He’s taking his medicines more seriously. I am so grateful!”

Frequently Asked Questions

BetterPlace was created to give you correct and comprehensive care. To that end, our experts follow a very unique approach that focuses on (a) getting you an accurate diagnosis, (b) providing end-to-end evidence-backed treatment options, and (c) continuously monitoring your progress to help you recover in the shortest possible time.

When you visit BetterPlace for the first time, you will speak to our in-house clinical psychologists who will take a detailed case history and understand your chief complaints. The psychologist will then discuss your case with our psychiatrist who will share a diagnosis and recommend the appropriate assessments and treatment plans.

Our approach is for you to meet both, as effective care often combines therapy and medication.
Psychiatrists can support you with medication if needed, helping to manage symptoms like anxiety, low mood, or difficulty sleeping. Psychologists work with you to understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and teach you practical strategies to cope and grow. If you’d rather begin with just one, that’s completely fine – but working with both often leads to faster progress and deeper, longer-lasting change.

Not right away. In your first session, we’ll focus on understanding you—your concerns, thought patterns, emotional experiences, and any challenges you’ve been facing. Our psychologists and psychiatrists work together to carry out a thorough assessment, using the latest tools and clinical insights. Based on this, we’ll design a personalised treatment plan that’s right for you. Your actual treatment will begin after this in-depth evaluation, so we can make sure it’s truly tailored to your needs.

If your thoughts, emotions, or behaviours are starting to interfere with your daily life—whether it’s your relationships, work, sleep, or ability to focus—it’s a good idea to speak to a professional. You don’t need to wait for things to get worse. Feeling persistently low, overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in certain patterns, or simply not like yourself are all valid reasons to reach out. Getting support early can make a real difference.

Our approach is focused on long-term healing and meaningful change, not just quick fixes. We take the time to understand your unique experiences—your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and what might be triggering distress. Using evidence-based assessments, we develop a personalised treatment plan that may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both. Throughout the process, we offer consistent support to help you build resilience, develop healthier patterns, and stay on track even when things feel challenging.

Yes, during regular working hours, you can call our front desk at +91 977 399 6888, and they will connect you with the doctor handling your case.

Therapy sessions are 100% confidential and there is 0% judgement. The therapist will never share the details of your case with any professional who is not part of your treatment plan.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring a family member or friend for support during your appointments if you’d like.

A consultation a BetterPlace can cost between INR 1500-2000, depending on who you are speaking to. Please call us on +91 9773996890 for further details.

The BetterPlace clinic is open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and 9:00 am – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, Friday

Your first conversation with our psychologist will last around 45 minutes as it involves a detailed discussion about your needs, goals and history. A typical conversation with a psychiatrist could last anywhere between 15-20 mins, and on-going therapy sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan and clinician’s recommendation.

There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment in mental health – each person needs a unique treatment plan, so the recovery period can also differ. However, most patients start seeing significant improvement in their day-to-day functioning and quality of life within 2-3 weeks of treatment. In fact, for certain advanced psychiatric treatments like accelerated rTMS (for Depression, OCD and Addictions), patients can start seeing results in a few days.

The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and treatment plan. Your clinician will discuss this with you during your first appointment.

Our psychiatrists and psychologists provide both online and offline consultancy. However, some specialised therapy techniques like relaxation therapy, rTMS or tDCS can only be administered in person, at our clinic.
