4 Things You Should Know Before Letting us Treat your Anxiety

Psychiatrists & Psychologists Together

Anxiety can look and feel different for everyone. That is why we have both clinical psychologists and psychiatrists under one roof. They work closely together whenever needed, so you can get the right kind of support at every stage of your care.

You Get the Benefit of a Second Opinion

Your treatment does not depend on just one person’s expertise. A senior clinical team also reviews your diagnosis, treatment plan and your progress, giving you a second opinion built into your care.

We Understand You Before your Treatment Starts

Most therapists get to know you gradually over several sessions. We get to know you before your treatment even begins. We conduct structured conversations and use clinical tools to understand you more clearly before we begin your treatment.

More Options Beyond Therapy and Medication

Sometimes anxiety treatment may not work as expected because another mental health condition is also affecting you. In these cases, we may add advanced options such as brain stimulation to your personalised care plan for better results.

This is What Your First Session Will Look Like

You Meet 2 Experts for 90 Minutes

In your first appointment, you will meet both a clinical psychologist and a psychiatrist. They will take the time to understand your worries, physical symptoms, triggers, sleep and how anxiety is affecting your everyday life.

You Get Clarity on What’s Going On

Anxiety can feel like racing thoughts, constant worry, restlessness, panic or a sense that something may go wrong. We help you understand what triggers these feelings and what keeps the cycle going.

You get a Treatment Plan Made Just for You

You will get a treatment plan built around your symptoms, routines and goals. It may include therapy, practical techniques to manage anxiety and medication only when you need it.

You Keep Getting Support as You Improve

Learning to manage anxiety takes practice and steady support. We track your progress, review what is helping and adjust your treatment along the way, so you feel supported at every step.

Hear From our Patients and Their Caregivers!

“I used to think feeling anxious was normal. I didnt even know it was anxiety. I’d ask my family about it, they would just say “Aapka jee ghabra raha hai”. But that made less and less sense to me as i started feeling it more and more. I went to BP and i had so many “aha moments”. Everything made sense. Now i am feeling much better but i believe this is much long way to go.”

“You don’t expect to have panic attacks when you’re over fifty. So when I had my first one at 54, I thought it was a heart attack Thanks to BetterPlace, I was able to understand what caused them and treat them before it got worse.”

“My marriage was on a downward spiral for a while and I thought I was prepared for the worst. Turns out when the “worst” actually happens, it’s a much different story. The anxiety of starting again was crippling but BetterPlace taught me to take things one step at a time and they even helped me build confidence. I can finally see a future where I would be able to find someone to love and share a home with.“

“As a single mom raising two kids, I used to think anxiety was a part of the job. I was wrong. I started noticing other mothers and a few of them were so joyful, glowing even?? Eventually, the therapy helped me realize that there are actual actionable things I can do to manage my anxiety. It’s not easy, but progress is real.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Not right away. In your first session, we’ll focus on understanding you—your concerns, thought patterns, emotional experiences, and any challenges you’ve been facing. Our psychologists and psychiatrists work together to carry out a thorough assessment, using the latest tools and clinical insights. Based on this, we’ll design a personalised treatment plan that’s right for you. Your actual treatment will begin after this in-depth evaluation, so we can make sure it’s truly tailored to your needs.

If your thoughts, emotions, or behaviours are starting to interfere with your daily life—whether it’s your relationships, work, sleep, or ability to focus—it’s a good idea to speak to a professional. You don’t need to wait for things to get worse. Feeling persistently low, overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in certain patterns, or simply not like yourself are all valid reasons to reach out. Getting support early can make a real difference.

Our approach is focused on long-term healing and meaningful change, not just quick fixes. We take the time to understand your unique experiences—your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and what might be triggering distress. Using evidence-based assessments, we develop a personalised treatment plan that may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both. Throughout the process, we offer consistent support to help you build resilience, develop healthier patterns, and stay on track even when things feel challenging.

Therapy sessions are 100% confidential and there is 0% judgement. The therapist will never share the details of your case with any professional who is not part of your treatment plan.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring a family member or friend for support during your appointments if you’d like.

The BetterPlace clinic is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Monday through Saturday.

Your first conversation with our psychologist will last around 45 minutes as it involves a detailed discussion about your needs, goals and history. A typical conversation with a psychiatrist could last anywhere between 15-20 mins, and on-going therapy sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan and clinician’s recommendation.

There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment in mental health – each person needs a unique treatment plan, so the recovery period can also differ. However, most patients start seeing significant improvement in their day-to-day functioning and quality of life within 2-3 weeks of treatment. In fact, for certain advanced psychiatric treatments like accelerated rTMS (for Depression, OCD and Addictions), patients can start seeing results in a few days.

The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and treatment plan. Your clinician will discuss this with you during your first appointment.

Our psychiatrists and psychologists provide both online and offline consultancy. However, some specialised therapy techniques like relaxation therapy, rTMS or tDCS can only be administered in person, at our clinic.
