Short-term relief (1 to 8 sessions)
If you’re facing a specific, recent issue, like a stressful event, a difficult decision, or a single reason or area of worry, you may feel noticeably better within a handful of sessions. This works well for focused concerns that haven’t had time to settle into deeper patterns.
Moderate progress (12 to 16 sessions)
For ongoing anxiety, low mood, or recurring relationship and work struggles, you’ll usually need a few months of consistent work. This is enough time to understand the patterns, build new skills, and see them hold up in real life.
Long-term support (6 months to 1+ years)
If you’re working through long-standing patterns, complex trauma, or conditions that need steady management, therapy becomes a longer journey. You don’t stay in crisis the whole time. Instead, you build a stable foundation and check in as you grow.
Your therapist reviews your progress regularly and adjusts the plan with you. You’re never locked into anything, and you decide how your treatment progresses with them.
